How is the PTA doing this year? We're not too sure. What we do know is that collecting dues has been a headache for the last few years, and it's time to make some changes. Luckily, PlanSocial can help!
Collecting dues online will be fast and easy for all of your members - you'll need their email address or contact information to get started. If they don't have an account yet, they can set one up in just a couple of minutes. So what are you waiting for? Let's change how we collect dues this year with just a few simple steps!
Simply click the plus sign to invite new members. You will need their First and Last name, email address and phone number.
Enter a title and select PTA Dues from the dropdown, then select 'Go'.
Select ‘Sell online tickets’ and click the link to connect your payment account.
You'll first be prompted to connect to your existing Stripe account - select ‘Yes’ if you already have an account.
Don’t worry if you don’t, you can just create a new one on the fly here in minutes - simply select ‘No’ and follow the instructions.
You will need to provide your PTA's bank details and a contact person. (You can also provide proof of your PTA's charity status to benefit from reduced-rate Stripe fees.)
Create an Item entry under the ‘Edit Tickets’ tab for parents to make payment. (Be sure to choose ‘Add Item’ and not ‘Add Ticket’.) Here you can even add an image to showcase your item. The PTA Dues image I've chosen below is just an example so feel free to use any image you like.
Click the Edit button at the top right of the web page and enter in the requested details.
You’ve done it! At this point you can share the link with your PTA members and they can now make their payment online. Take note that any payments made by parents will be visible to the event manager only, and available to download in a spreadsheet.
Victory is yours!
