Sell Pre-Loved Uniforms Online

You've been collecting all the pre-loved items you can find and now it's time to get them out there. A second hand uniform sale is a fail-proof fundraiser for all PTAs. Your community will be excited about this one so let's jump right in to setting up your uniform sale on PlanSocial in just a few simple steps.

Step 1: Create a free Hub for your school

Step 2: Add a new event using our ‘Second Hand Uniform Sale’ template 

Click the ‘Add Event’ button and enter a title then select ‘Second Hand Uniform Sale’ from the dropdown, and select 'Go'.

Select ‘Sell online tickets’ and click the link to connect your payment account.

You'll first be prompted to connect to your existing Stripe account. Don’t worry if you currently don’t have one because an account can be created online in minutes here by following the instructions that follow. You will need to provide your PTA's bank details, and a contact person. (If you also provide proof of your PTA's charity status you can benefit from reduced-rate Stripe fees.)

Step 3: Add the items you’d like to sell

Next up our template has it set for you to sell your items. Underneath the 'Entry tickets' section, you will see the 'Items'. Here is where you can add the items you would like to sell such as shirts, skirts, shoes and cardigans, just to name a few. We have pre-loaded some items of clothing that you can edit to make your own or use it as it is.

With our friendly user interface, you can edit the price, dates and maximum available quantity (if any), for each item type.

Step 4: Add tasks

This system is the perfect solution to help you manage your uniform sale tasks with ease. With PlanSocial, up to 20 core organisers can carry out any task they feel comfortable with. Don’t worry if you have more than 20 volunteers. If you upgrade to the paid Community Hub plan, you can open up volunteering opportunities to all parents.

In this section you can add tasks for volunteers to choose from, such as 'setting up', clearing up' and even donation collection and organisation to help round up what the parents have donated and sort through them. You can click 'Edit' and then Click ‘Add Task’ to create new tasks or additional items from scratch.

Step 5: Add the event date to publish it, and share the link

Click ‘Edit’ to edit the date and add in details, then share it with parents in your school so they can purchase their uniform items safely using their debit or credit card from any device.
